Inspired and led by the Allahabad High Court, Indian courts have adopted Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) as standard software to deploy. In the 40^th year of establishment of Free Software Foundation (FSF), it is relevant to narrate this story. 

It will be narrated in different posts. This is the first post and is introduction of the same.

My father VKS Chaudhary is being honoured by Allahabad High Court Bar Association over dinner after his release from jail. He is third from right. In the pictures, one can also see Shanti Bhushan, AP Mishra J. and SD Agarwala J. However, at that time, they were still members of Bar.

WHY SIX & NOT NINE MONTHS AT JTRI

The recommendation of the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal (NJA) for civil judges was, that there should be nine months training at the judicial institutes and three months in the field to gain practical experience. However, our committee recommended six months at the Judicial Training & Research Institute, Lucknow (JTRI) and six months in the field. Here are the reasons for the same.
