Improve Your Language

Summary: In this post, I talk about some how to improve communication 

When I became lawyer, I regularly wrote in the newspapers and magazines. Later, published them in a book form under the titled 'A Lawyer's World and Childhood Dreams'. This is cover of 2^nd edition of the book. These articles are available on this blog. 

ADVICE TO LAW ASPIRANTS

Try to regularly write in the three languages that I talked about in my previous post: send letters to newspapers, contribute to magazines or websites, start a blog, or write on social media.

Use simple and plain language. Difficult words impress some people but rarely communicate well. Prefer:

• simple words
• short sentences
• active voice
• minimal negatives
• brevity. 

I disagree with some of the views of Lord Denning, but his English is exemplary. Compare his judgements, with the judgements of Krishn Iyer J. and my point will be clear. For elegant language, try to adopt the style of Lord Denning - read his judgments and his books.
